1 Who we are

This site is operated by OnwardsUp ("we", "us", "our"), a digital media and marketing partnerships business based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at offers@onwardsup.com.

We are an independent, informational site. We are not an insurance company, not a vehicle service contract provider, and not an administrator of any coverage described here.

2 What this policy covers

This policy covers this website only. It does not cover the third-party partner sites you reach by clicking a quote link, or the providers and administrators who supply and service the coverage. Those companies each have their own privacy policies, and their handling of your information is their responsibility, not ours.

3 Information we collect

Information you give us directly

There is no quote form on this site. The only way you give us information directly is by emailing us, in which case we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use that only to reply.

Information collected automatically

We do not run general website analytics or social media tracking here. We do load two third-party scripts: one from our affiliate tracking partner Trackbeam, which records which of our links you click so a referral can be attributed to us, and a Microsoft Advertising (UET) tag, which measures how our Microsoft Ads campaigns perform and supports remarketing. The information involved is:

• Standard server information recorded by our web host to serve and secure the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit
• Technical and interaction information processed by the Trackbeam script, such as your browser and device details and which link you clicked
• Technical information processed by the Microsoft UET tag, such as your browser and device details and the pages you visit on this site, used to measure ad performance and to show relevant ads on other sites you visit

4 Cookies and tracking

We do not run Google Analytics or social media tracking on this site.

We do use a click-measurement script provided by Trackbeam. It runs when the page loads and records which of our links you click, so a referral can be attributed to us. Depending on how it is configured, this script may set a cookie or store an identifier in your browser for that purpose. Trackbeam processes this under its own privacy policy.

We also use a Microsoft Advertising (UET) tag, which runs on every page view. It sets cookies in your browser (such as _uetsid and _uetvid) to measure whether our Microsoft Ads campaigns led to a quote request, and to support remarketing, meaning ads for services like this one may follow you on other sites you visit. Microsoft processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can limit this through Microsoft's own advertising and privacy controls, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

You can control or clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will not prevent you using this site or requesting a quote.

5 When you request a quote

Clicking "Get My Free Quote" takes you off this site to a third-party partner. Anything you enter there, such as your name, phone number, email address, postal address and vehicle details, is collected by that partner and any providers they work with. We do not receive, store or process the details you submit on their form.

Because that partner controls what happens next, we strongly recommend reading their privacy policy and terms before you submit your information.

6 Being contacted by partners

This is worth reading carefully. When you submit a quote request, you are typically agreeing to be contacted by marketing partners by phone, text message and email, including through automated dialing or messaging technology, at the number and address you provide. That consent may apply even if your number is listed on a Do Not Call registry.

Consent of that kind is not required as a condition of purchasing any product or service. Message and data rates may apply. The exact terms are set out on the partner's form at the point you submit it, and those terms govern, not this page.

7 How we use information

We use the limited information described in section 3 to:

• Operate, secure and maintain this site
• Measure which of our links are clicked, so referrals are attributed correctly
• Show ads for services like this one to people who have previously visited this site, through Microsoft's remarketing tools
• Reply to enquiries you email us

We do not sell your personal information. The Microsoft Advertising remarketing cookie described in section 4 is used to support our ad campaigns; you can prevent it by blocking third-party cookies or adjusting your ad personalisation settings with Microsoft.

8 Who we share it with

• Trackbeam, our affiliate tracking partner, for click attribution
• Microsoft Advertising, for ad measurement and remarketing through the UET tag described in section 4
• Our web host, which processes standard server logs to deliver the site
• The quote partner, but only in the sense that clicking our link sends you to them. We do not pass them personal details you have not entered yourself.

We may also disclose information where legally required, or to protect our rights and the security of this site.

9 Your choices and rights

Stopping calls, texts and emails

Because those come from the partner you submitted your details to, the fastest route is to contact them directly. You can also reply STOP to a text message, use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email, or ask to be added to the caller's internal do-not-call list. If you are struggling to identify who is contacting you, email us and we will tell you which partner the quote link pointed to.

US residents

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. As set out above, we do not sell personal information, and the quote details themselves are held by the partner rather than by us, so requests about those should go to them.

UK and EU visitors

We are UK based, so where UK or EU data protection law applies you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing, to data portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Our lawful basis for the limited processing we do is legitimate interests: keeping the site running and secure, and attributing referrals we have made.

10 Children

This site is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11 Third-party links

This site links to third-party partners. We are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. Our links are affiliate links, meaning we may be paid when someone submits a quote request or enrolls through them. This costs you nothing and does not change the information on this site.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
